NFC Encoding a URL to a Mifare Ultralight Card

This topic details how to encode a simple URL to a Mifare Ultralight card so it can be tapped on a Smart phone and take you to a URL automatically.

 

1. Click the menu button in the top left of the EasyBadge Program window.  cid:image003.jpg@01D270AD.2E768CA0

 

2. Click Add Field.

4. Select “Text Field” and click the “create” button.

 

 

5. Name the field with something appropriate, in this example it is ‘NFC Payload’ and Click ‘OK’.

 

 

 

6. Your Database will need to close and re-open, click ‘OK’.

Next you need to make a change to the card design.

 

 

7. Open up your Card Design by Clicking the Change a Design button, you will then get the option to Edit an Existing design or create a new design. Select the appropriate option.

 

8. Right click the Contactless encoding icon and select NFC Settings.

 

 

9.  Enter the new field name “NFC Payload” in the new Payload box and set Write card and payload type options, then click enable as below. Click OK.

 

 

10. Now make sure you have a valid web URL in the NRC Payload field.

 

 

Provided your printer supports contactless encoding you should now be able to click the print card icon and an encoded card should be created.
