Print Ribbon issues on Entrust / Datcard Printers

Ribbon issues can be common on Datacard printers for a number of reasons. Please can you confirm the following..


- the exact product code of the ribbon being used and is installed last, ideally from the box of the ribbon.


- if the printer is regionalised (it will have R010 on  the LCD on the ready screen if so, not all printers have a region code set though)


-  Please confirm that you have not removed the end cap from the ribbon take-up spool which is an RFID tag. If the RFID tag is remote it will render the ribbon useless and the printer will try to print a single mono pass on the colour panels, hence the problem with colour.



Datacard RFID tag may appear as a copper coil or Silver/Grey end cap with "Datacard" or ""Entrust" pattern on the sticker.
