How To disable UAC from Dashboard icon with Entrust Driver

To disable UAC from Dashboard icon:

  • Right click on Dashboard icon and select “Properties”
  • Select “Shortcut” tab
  • Select “advanced” button
    1. Deselect “Run as Administrator” checkbox
    2.  
    3. Select “OK”
      • You will need “administrator” privileges to save these changes.
    4. When the user double clicks the “printer dashboard” icon, the dashboard will pop up without the UAC popping up.

To disable UAC from Dashboard menu option:

  • Right click on Dashboard menu option and select “Open File Location”

  •  
  • This will open up the File Explorer to “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Datacard Printers”
  • Right click on Dashboard icon and select “Properties”
  • Select “Shortcut” tab
  • Select “advanced” button
    1. Deselect “Run as Administrator” checkbox

    1. Select “OK”
