HDP6600 calibration issue

Modified on Mon, 22 May 2023 at 11:31 AM

Please see the below instructions from HID, this should resolve your issue you are having.

First please can you clean the purple transfer film feed roller, with either the provided adhesive cleaning card or an isopropyl alcohol wipe.

Then you will need to calibrate the ribbon and transfer film sensors using the printer drivers I will show how to do this below.

Please go into the control panel then devices and printer and select preferences on HDP6600

Then you can go into utilities and click on calibrate sensors

If the print registration is still offset, then the pre-released firmware we received can be used I will attach the download for the latest firmware for HDP6600 you can extract then install this.

To install the latest firmware please see the below instructions,

Please extract the folder that you had downloaded from the above link.

Then open up the HDP6600 preferences again click on utilities then update manager.

Then you will need to select the firmware file in the bottom right side, open the folder you have extracted and select the file that is inside the folder then click begin firmware.

This is the file you need to select from the update manager.

After the update, advanced settings in the driver, utilities section will appear. Magenta and cyan panel offset options can be adjusted. 1 unit = 1 pixel.

To get to Magenta and cyan panel offset options, please go into utilities and then internal printer settings and scroll down until you see Magenta and cyan panel.

Update and then print an image placement test card. Then open the advanced settings and adjust the panel placement until all panels are correctly placed and registration is good.

I hope this guide helps resolves your issue.
