Modified on Tue, 09 Apr 2024 at 02:44 PM

The following is a solution provided by IDP to resolve network security issues related to the OCP having connection issues.

1. Unencrypted telnet (Open Port 23)

1-1. The OCP function uses port 223.
So, please uncheck the 'Use OCP' box in the 'OCP Config.' tab of Netadmin.
1-2. If the client doesn't want the Telnet service, please uncheck the 'Use TFTP/TELNET' box in the 'Service Config' tab.

2. TLS & SSL

Then It need to upgrade the network firmware and Netadmin utility.

2-1. Added the function to support TLS 1.2 only.
  - Upgrade the network firmware to  'smartnet2-fs-2.4.087.bin' at the following link.

  - Set the 'Use TLS' to 'TLS 1.2' with a new version of Netadmin. (replace it with an existing Netadmin utility that you have.)

2-2. This NetAdmin can broadcast the signal to find the network IDP printers when multiple network adapters are installed on the PC.

And also the following:

Once configured properly the connection issue should be resolved.
