These are instructions for calibrating the ZXP 1/3 and P110i / P120i Printer ribbon sensors.

How to Calibrate the Ribbon Sensor

  1. If you have Windows 7 8 or 10, go to the Windows button menu and select Devices and Printers. Right click on your Zebra printer and select Printer Properties.
  2. If you get an error message that “Printer is Offline” then your computer is not communicating with the printer. Make sure the USB or Ethernet cable is connected. Restart the computer if necessary.
  3. Once you are in Properties (Windows XP) or Printer Properties (Windows 7), go to the Device Settings tab. Under Ribbon Type you should see your ribbon (for example, a YMCKO).

  5. Click on Tools.
  6. In the Command to Send to Printer box, type ”!SA” then click Execute. The printer will run the calibration process on its own at this point. In the Printer Status box, make sure “ACK” is displayed to verify that the command was accepted.calibrating-sensor_2

As discussed ribbon breaks can happen occasionally with any card printer.
