Consumable difference explanation

Both ribbons come under our consumable brand called ChromXpert. The difference between the two is as follows:

DIC10216 is made in Japan and we refer to it as the Platinum line (Slightly more expensive but better quality for some heavy background images. For run of the mill prints it is pretty compatible to the PR range below)
PR000816 is made in Korea and we refer to it as the Diamond line (Slightly cheaper and good for most prints. For heavy background prints it’s a question of trying both and deciding if the color suits you)

Important note: Never mix consumable types like Platinum ribbon with Diamond film or vice versa. The chemical composition, material and stretch and heat properties are different and incompatible. Doing so can certainly damage the Heat Roller.

In terms of durability they are both on par.
