The flipper needs to be "rehomed". The flip unit if moved out of position, can't find its correct orientation on its own.
The "core" of the flipper that you can see inside the printer has a flat edge on it. In its default position it should look like the letter "D" with the flat side on the left. If this isn't the current position then you can use one of the green keys inside the door to put it back to the right position.
