IDP Smart 70 Print head adjustment for ribbon wrinkle issues

Modified on Wed, 16 Dec, 2020 at 9:42 AM

Here is the process for unlatching and adjusting  the Smart 70 the print head so you can adjust the print head angle to get a nice even print. This can help with resin K printing issues like below where barcode has flares in the bars.

Printing a full mid grey card with a barcode in the middle will give you a good indicator if the quality is good. The Grey should be even and the barcode crisp.

The red arrow is where the screw you adjust is (from the opposite side to the photo), always put a black dot at 12 o’clock on the screw so you have a a starting point and only do small ¼ turns at a time. Then print a few cards.

A Clockwise turn adjusts out faded band at start of print. Counter Clockwise adjusts out wavy lines.
