Fine coloured lines on a printed card is known as ribbon wrinkle.
Problem:
How to resolve fine colored lines (ribbon wrinkle) that look like wrinkles on the card on a HDP5000? Fine wavy colored lines of varying length and number.
Solution:
This is known as "ribbon wrinkle" and is caused by the ribbon not being held flat against the printhead surface during printing.
Follow these steps to resolve:
Step 1) Reduce the image darkness more negative (-) Adjust in increments of -5.
In Windows browse Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click HDP5000 driver and select Printing Preferences > Image Color tab > Lower Dye-Sub intensity.
In Windows browse Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click HDP5000 driver and select Printing Preferences > Device Options Tab > Toolbox button > Advanced settings.
Step 2) - Adjust the Ribbon Supply Tension by +/-5 in the Advanced Settings of Toolbox in the Printing Preferences.
It is best to try step one first, print some cards and see if the print quality improves. If not then try step 2.
You may need to print 3-5 or so cards before you see an improvement.

Film wrinkle is not normally an adjustment, so the film supply tension back to zero. Recommendations for repairs technician
Check that the orange transfer roller can move/tilt left and right
Check that the heater wire is not restricting movement.
check that the orange transfer platen in the card path is okay
Check the card path is correctly located and secured in place.
