1. Make sure that you have Fargo workbench open and the correct printer selected. See above.
The Workbench can be downloaded for free from this link :
https://www.hidglobal.com/drivers/15325
2. Confirm the network lock option is set to "Yes" within the printer's LCD display.
3. Save the hdp5000 NetOptnLockout false .prn file that is attached to this email to somewhere handy on your computer.
4. Then select the 'Print Spooler & PRN Viewer' button in Workbench (see attached document).
5. Select the .prn file from the place you saved it on your computer using the Load PRN button on the page that is open on Workbench and browsing for the file.
6. Send the .prn file to the HDP5000 printer via the FARGO Workbench using the 'Send to Printer' button.
7. Leave the printer alone for 10 minutes. Then reboot both the printer and the PC.
8. Look at printer LCD menu to see if the network is still locked (Network lock YES). If it is please try sending the .prn again – and if that does not work then try sending it from another laptop/PC.
9. If after several tries with different computers you still cannot change your Network Lock Yes setting to be No, then please contact HID technical support. [email protected]
10. This may result in the printer being back to Haverhill UK for repair.
